The Fairfax shop of Marin Service Course sits on Bolinas Road, at the foot of Mount Tamalpais. This is the town where mountain biking began on the fire roads in the 1970s, and Bolinas Road itself climbs out past Alpine Dam and over the ridge to the coast. Few shops anywhere have better riding starting at the door.
The team are mechanics who have raced at a professional level across road, gravel, cyclocross, cross-country, enduro and downhill. They build bikes, fit riders, coach, and run group rides, and the Fairfax shop keeps later hours on Mondays and Wednesdays for riders who can only get in after work.
Marin Service Course is the point of contact for a SWI in the San Francisco Bay Area: for a first conversation about specification, for fit, and for collection when the frame is finished.
Mechanics who raced for a living know what a frame is doing underneath them, and that is who should be building a SWI.
