Gorilla Firm has been fitting and building bicycles in Oundle since 2012, from a unit on the wharf beside the River Nene. Road, gravel and time trial, custom and off the shelf, always tailored to the rider.
Fitting runs on the GURU Fit System — a computer-controlled fit bike that adjusts while you pedal, so an old position and a new one can be compared back to back rather than described. Custom builds follow a six-step route from that first fit through to a follow-up service after the first miles.
The workshop is priced openly, from a safety check to a full strip and rebuild, and the brand list leans hard towards the boutique and the Italian: Sarto, Passoni, Bastion, Festka, Battaglin, Officine Mattio, Titici, Jaegher and FiftyOne among them.
A shop that already stocks the boutique Italians and still made room for us. They know what a hand-built frame is worth.
